Why now?

God has been so visual in my life everyday.
I love to talk God and share His stories of how present He has been to me.
BUT... I am human and, YES sometimes I get lost in world and even get distant from God.

I am a single mom of two amazing young men, and an administrator in a Middle School,
so OH BOY do I need God everyday  in little and big ways.
I guess I am starting to BLOG now as a way for me to stay connected to God more interactively.

Just the other day I was sent the latest picture of this beautiful little girl,  Sandy.
In the summer of 2009, I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Nairobi, Kenya with a mission team from my church.
We partner with a Furaha Community School in the slum of Hiruma.
My experience there was so memorable, even now I can see the pictures as if it were yesterday.

I was given the opportunity to teach in Teacher Calvince 6th grade class, and provide professional development to the Furaha Teachers.  God must have used me in some amazing way because when Teacher Calvince had his first baby in 2014 ... 5 years later... He named her after me.
That is so crazy... I was there for 10 days and just an ordinary person.
I looked at these special teachers & saw Heroes.
Yet Calvince must have seen something in me... I'm sure it was God.

Every time I see this beautiful face, it reminds me that I have the ability to share the light of God everyday... but do I????
Baby Sandy reminds me to choose to be that person.
